Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development Recruitment Initiative
Nationally and in Utah, the need for talent has increased significantly over the past few years. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is taking steps to address this challenge in Utah’s economy. By teaming up with private industry, and key economic development agencies and entities, GOED hopes to reach new professional level candidates to continue to help grow Utah’s economy.
The basic concept of the Utah Recruitment Initiative is to reach out to experienced talent currently working outside of Utah. By promoting Utah as a great place to live and work, and educating others of the great economic opportunities in our State, we hope to be able to convince potential candidates to relocate to Utah and be part of this great State.
Job Seekers
Active Job Seekers can use our job board to find current openings across the State of Utah. To get started, click on the Job Board links below.
Passive Job Seekers can create a profile in our system and will be contacted only when their profile matches the specific skills, education, and location of an employer search request.
Utah Employers
Post Your Current Jobs to Our Job Board - As a participating employer, you can post your current openings to our job board, and allow job seekers to apply directly to your jobs. Through our partnership with ApplicantSearch™ you will also be able to instantly push your job openings to their other partner sites, including the Alumni Job Boards of both BYU and the University of Utah.
Request a Search of our Job Seekers - Particpating employers will be able to request a targeted search of our resume database. You simply create a profile of your job, and ApplicantSearch™ will search the seeker database for candidates that fit your position. Employers will also have the option to run their search against the entire ApplicantSearch™ database, currently over 12,000 job seekers (mainly alumni of BYU and the UofU).
All firms that would like to participate in the Utah Recruitment Initiative (URI) and receive resumes from GOED’s marketing efforts will be required to file an Employer Participation Agreement.
