There’s no question that the future for technology companies in Utah is bright. In fact, Inc. Magazine notes “Utah has become the epicenter of the ‘Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies’ in recent years.” In Utah last year, the IT industry grew more than 13% to 2,984 companies according to the latest data released by the Utah Department of Workforce Services. This is great news for Utah’s economy, because the average IT salary is 66% higher than the statewide average annual nonagricultural wage. The IT industry in Utah accounts for roughly 3.7% of Utah’s job market.
